Hunting

Hunting is a great sport. Many people enjoy it, including me. It's more of a hobby than a sport. But it does not matter what it is called. It is a great thing to do. It can help you relax, blow off some steam, and even help you spend some time with your friends. But some people don't agree with me. A lot of people hate hunting because they think that it's inhumane. But if it were not for hunters, there would be an overpopulation of animals. Thousands of deer stripping bark from trees. Thousands of pheasants in fields, eating all of a farmers corn. Thousands of rabbits destroying people's gardens. And that is just in the state of Iowa alone. Think of the other countries that would suffer. African elephants would trample settlements to the ground. So hunting is a good thing. It's no different than eating beef you bought at a super market, except that you killed it yourself, not someone at a butcher shop. So when you think of hunting, don't think of the inhumane killing of defenseless animals, think of the billions of animals that would roam the Earth if we didn't hunt.

Swimming

Swimming is a sport that I have done since I was 6 years old. I recently joined my high school swim team, and the practices are brutal. We swim 5000 yards a practice, on average. But it's not respected. People think of swimming, and they think of a bunch of people standing around in a pool. But it's not like that at all. In football, we had an hour and 50 minutes of technique, and 10 minutes of conditioning. Swim team is an hour and a half of conditioning. I'm not saying football is easy. I'm just saying that swimming is worse. I try to tell this to people, and they don’t listen. They don’t care. They want to think that swimming is easy, and that everyone who swims is a wuss. Only people who swim or have swam before understand it. And that’s the it’s always going to be. Swimming is never going to be respected like other sports. No matter what happens, it will be below sports like football, baseball, basketball, and soccer. It’s not fair, and it doesn’t make any sense, but that’s the way it is. And that’s the way it is always going to be.

Xbox Live Goes Mobile

Yesterday, Microsoft surprised the world of technology when it released an app for a mobile operating system besides it’s own. The My Xbox Live for iOS devices is now for sale, free, for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. With the new app, gamers can manage their live accounts from anywhere. The app is not quite as good as the Windows Phone. With the Windows Phone, you can search and download games, movies and music, with other bonuses for going Microsoft. Microsoft has come out with a lot recently, including an improvement on the app for Netflix. This relates to me because I have both an Xbox, and an iPod. I don’t play Xbox Live, because my Internet connection is super crappy, but I do have an account. I will be getting this app when I get my new iPod (I have 3g. You need 4g). But I can’t wait. This is going to be awesome.

Turkey Day

There are many things that I'm thankful for. My family is number one. I hate them sometimes, but I'm glad I have them. I'm also thankful for my friends. I would be one lonely guy without them. I'm so glad I have an Xbox. It's my baby. I love it. It's name is Christina. Don't judge me. I'm also thankful for the U.S.A. The greatest country in the world, and I was lucky enough to be born in it. I have a whole list of things, but these are the most important. Oh, and I'm thankful that I'm awesome.
